TV Couples We Need Together in 2026: From The Pitt’s Langdon and Mel to Tracker’s Colter and Reenie

Fan-favorite TV couples like 9-1-1’s Buck and Eddie, The Bear’s Sydney and Carmy and Tracker’s Colter and Reenie — or Billie — deserve to finally get together on screen in 2026.
Based on Jeffery Deaver‘s novel The Never Game, Tracker has viewers tuning in each week to see their favorite fictional survivalist — a.k.a Colter — travel the country to help solve missing person cases, track down information on criminal cases and so much more. Colter (Justin Hartley) usually receives help from his team, which includes his attorney Reenie.
Colter and Reenie’s history isn’t limited to a professional relationship though, and she has since caught the eye of Colter’s brother too.
“Reenie loves some of that attention. Who doesn’t love a little bit of validation here and there? We’re all human,” Rene exclusively told Us Weekly in November 2024. “But I think Reenie is looking for the caliber of man who can be emotionally, physically and mentally available. [Someone] in the same state who she doesn’t have to track down every single time she wants to talk to him. I think that that’s pretty pertinent.”
At the time, Rene also weighed in on Reenie and Colter exploring a romance in the future.
“I think deep down Colter loves Reenie. I really would like to think that he has unconditional love for her,” she noted. “He really wants what’s best for Reenie and he wants to see her happy. I think Elliot at that moment is really making her happy. So I think it’s undeniable for Colter to feel that too. But does that mean that he is over it?”
Meanwhile, on The Pitt, the hit HBO Max series introduced Us to Mel (Taylor Dearden), Langdon (Patrick Ball) and the staff of a Pittsburgh hospital’s emergency department. While working a grueling 15-hour shift, Mel found a mentor in Langdon, which inspired some viewers to question whether their connection could turn into something more.
“I think that has to do with the fact that audiences have been trained by most medical dramas for love affairs more than it has to do with me and Mel,” Ball told Us in April, adding that he finds it “so funny” to learn about fans who are supporting the chemistry between his and Dearden’s characters. “I think what Langdon sees in Mel is that she’s got the right stuff. She sees the world the right way. She understands what this job is. She’s really smart and she’s really competent and she’s also a caregiver.”
He continued: “Langdon is a caregiver. He’s learning what it means to be a father and the responsibility of that, the complexity of that and the scariness of that. There’s no playbook on how to be a good dad and he’s really trying to figure that out. Then he sees somebody else who is a caregiver and can see them carrying that responsibility. I think he understands that and is drawn to that. I don’t think there’s anything romantic about it. It’s just a ‘real recognizes real’ [type of] great, positive and platonic relationship.”

Francesca and Michaela (‘Bridgerton’)
Season 4, which premieres in January 2026, is based on Benedict’s (Luke Thompson) story from Julia Quinn’s third novel — An Offer From a Gentleman — and his love story with newcomer Sophie (Yerin Ha). Some of Us, however, are holding out hope that the show also finds a way to explore Francesca’s (Hannah Dodd) connection with Michaela (Masali Baduza).

Langdon and Mel (‘The Pitt’)
After being dismissed due to his secret pill addiction, Langdon has a lot on his plate. That hasn’t stopped Us from hoping that season 2 uses its time jump as a way to reveal that Langdon is going through a divorce … which puts him one step closer to exploring his connection with mentee Mel.

Mickey and Boone (‘Sheriff Country’)
Boone (Matt Lauria) had Us worried for a moment when he surprised everyone — including Mickey (Morena Baccarin) — and revealed he had a wife! However, once the panic wore off, fans learned that Boone was only legally married to help his late partner’s widow and son get his benefits, proving that he really is as charming as we thought. So, now that that’s all cleared up, it’s time to make Mickey and Boone the new hottest couple in Edgewater … even if they would never admit they have feelings for each other.

Morgan and Karadec (‘High Potential’)
Between Wagner (Steve Howey), the mysterious Roman and now Rhys (Aiden Turner), Morgan has more than enough love interests. Yet none of them compare to her professional partner Karadec (Daniel Sunjata), who is obviously playing the long game.

Tyler and Wednesday (‘Wednesday’)
If supporting a dark romance between a misunderstood monster and pop culture icon Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) is wrong then we don’t want to be right. Last time we saw the fan-favorite lovers to enemies, Wednesday had the chance to kill Tyler (Hunter Doohan) but she chose to save his life instead. If you ask Us, that puts the ball back in Tyler’s court for season 3.

Rupert and Taggie (‘Rivals’)
Who doesn’t love an onscreen age gap romance? Rupert and Taggie won viewers over with their chemistry in season 1 and now it’s time to bring it on home.

Danny and Baez (‘Boston Blue’)
Boston Blue gave Blue Bloods fans what they wanted by revealing during the series premiere that Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) and his NYPD partner Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) were in fact an item. However, this long-distance situation is becoming worrisome. So, can we just make Baez a full-time character on the spinoff and move her to Boston so these two crazy kids can have a real shot at love?

Kitty and Min-Ho (‘Xo, Kitty’)
At this point in the game, no other relationship makes sense like Kitty and Min-Ho. Plus we can’t prove it, but the show taking so long to build up to a kiss has to mean when it happens, that relationship will solidify itself as endgame.

Benson and Stabler (‘Law and Order: SVU’)
It’s been more than 25 years and no, Benson (Mariska Harigitay) and her former partner Stabler (Christopher Meloni) are still not a couple. Why, you ask? Because, clearly we haven’t cried out loud enough about how much we need these two to become official. So, here we are shouting it out loud on behalf of SVU fans everywhere: Give Us a Benson and Stabler romance, you cowards!

Lucas and Lauren (‘Ransom Canyon’)
Season 1 ended with Lucas (Garrett Wareing) and Lauren (Lizzy Greene) finally going public as a couple. But with the show getting renewed, that just means there’s more obstacles coming their way. Here at Us, we are willing to wait it out — as long as Ransom Canyon doesn’t decide to channel The Summer I Turned Pretty and have Lauren get together with Lucas’ brother.

Billie and Colter — or Reenie (‘Tracker’)
Justin Hartley’s Colter Shaw has been a lone wolf long enough — seriously, he is always riding solo — so the time has come for him to settle down, or at the very least have a steamy hookup. The Us team, however, is divided on who Colter should romance come 2026, so we’re throwing both fellow bounty hunter Billie (Hartley’s real-life wife Sofia Pernas) and his badass lawyer pal Reenie (Fiona Rene) in the mix. Who do you think he should date?

Ruby and James (‘Maxton Hall’)
The least Prime Video could do after making Us suffer Ruby and James’ relationship ups and downs is finally get them together — and keep them that way. Please and thank you!

Gibbs and Lala (‘NCIS: Origins’)
OK, hear Us out, yes, Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Austin Stowell) is officially married to second wife Diane (Kathleen Kenny) on NCIS: Origins — and he eventually gets hitched four times in the NCIS universe — but we’re not done shipping him with Lala (Mariel Molino).
Lala’s near-death experience at the end of season 1 that left Gibbs shook, paired with his obvious feelings for her in season 2, make Us hopeful they will find a way to end up together. Who says they can’t be living off the grid together in modern-day Alaska after they both retire? It could — and definitely should — happen.

Buck and Eddie (‘9-1-1’)
Every season of ABC’s 9-1-1 feels like it could be bringing the show one step closer to Buck (Oliver Stark) and Eddie (Ryan Guzman). Fans have waited this long so something tells Us they will keep holding out hope.

Winston and Jules (‘Grey’s Anatomy’)
With the amount of build-up, we would be shocked if the medical drama didn’t explore another couple in the hospital giving romance a shot.

Tim and Lucy (‘The Rookie’)
Tim (Eric Winter) finally asked Lucy (Melissa O’Neil) to move in with him during the season 7 finale — after they tiptoed around a possible rekindled romance all season — but sadly she fell asleep and didn’t hear the totally adorable offer. Since they say third time’s the charm, it seems only right that Tim and Lucy get another shot at love to start season 8 in 2026.

Joe and Georgia (‘Ginny & Georgia’)
If Joe (Raymond Ablack) isn’t the father of Georgia’s (Brianne Howey) baby then we will riot in the streets. Just saying …

Maggie and OA (‘FBI’)
After eight seasons, fans are still yearning for longtime partners Maggie (Missy Peregrym) and OA (Zeeko Zaki) to just kiss already! Sure, working together and dating could get messy, but enough is enough. OA recently split from girlfriend Gemma, so there is nothing standing in the way of the special agents’ becoming an item except for themselves.

Brie and Brady (‘Virgin River’)
The best relationships rely on at least a little bit of mess — and on this list that would be Brie (Zibby Allen) and Brady (Ben Hollingsworth) sleeping together before Brie told her boyfriend, Mike (Marco Grazzini), about her affair with Brady, which caused him to propose to her.

Hannah and Ripley (‘Chicago Med’)
The dynamic between Chicago Med’s Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) and Dr. Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell) is complicated at best as Hannah is pregnant with Dr. Dean Archer’s (Steven Weber) baby. But as of now, Hannah and Archer are platonic — and Ripley has expressed a desire to become a father himself — so fans have every right to root for them to rekindle their romance. (Come on, you know you want to see them dress up as Barbie and Ken once again!)

Mindy and Alfie (‘Emily in Paris’)
Netflix’s trailer for season 5 has Us intrigued because on paper Mindy (Ashley Park) and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) seem like they have too many obstacles in their path. But as Sabrina Carpenter sang, it’s so romantic in Paris so perhaps the show is onto something.

Jimmy Palmer and Jessica Knight (‘NCIS’)
Despite some fans wanting to see Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) and her NCIS partner Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) hookup, we’re purists and will forever be team Knight and Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen). Who doesn’t love the idea of a quirky medical examiner landing a super fierce special agent and living happily ever after?

Syd and Carmy (‘The Bear’)
The Bear going out of their way to deny that Syd (Ayo Edebiri) and Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) could be a couple just makes Us want it more. Why cast two actors with undeniable chemistry if you don’t plan to explore it?

Mackey and JD (‘NCIS: Sydney’)
This cat and mouse game has gone too far. Mackey (Olivia Swann) is extremely closed off, but the fact that she has only told partner JD (Todd Lasance) that she has a grown son has to mean something, right? For Us, it’s a sign that their chemistry, which is off the charts, should lead to a full-fledged romance.
