Plus, other big moments fans can expect to see in the upcoming season
7 LITTLE Johnstons star Trent has opened up about a scary medical crisis he’s dealing with that doctors warn would be the cause of his death.
The Johnstons’ matriarch revealed his diagnosis in a trailer for the new season, which premieres on October 14.

5At one point in the clip, Trent, 49, and his wife, Amber, 46, sat the family down to share what they learned at a recent doctor’s visit.
The couple said that signs of “White Matter Disease” were present in Trent’s body, which he said was caused by sleep apnea.
According to the Mayo Clinic, sleep apnea is a potentially serious sleep disorder where breathing repeatedly stops and starts.
“The neurologist told me that if I do not start treating my sleep apnea right away, if definitely will be the cause of my death,” Trent explained in a confessional interview.
The clip proceeded with the family receiving a lesson about Trent’s treatment plan, as they all wear CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) masks around the house.
Trent and Amber are parents of two biological children, Jonah, 25, and Liz, 23, and three adopted kids, Anna, 25, Emma, 20, and Alex, 19.
WHERE’S ANNA?
Elsewhere in the Season 14 preview, Liz and her partner, Brice Bolden, prepare for their engagement, and Trent confronts Anna about distancing herself from the family in recent years.
The U.S. Sun exclusively reported in July 2024 that Anna skipped out on a family vacation to Puerto Rico, and it was by her own accord.

According to a direct message exchange between a fan and the Johnstons’ official Instagram page, obtained by The U.S. Sun, Anna opted not to attend, despite plans already in place for her to do so.
She appeared to be the only family member not present for the trip, which even included Jonah and Alex’s girlfriends, as well as Liz’s baby daddy, Brice.
The TLC star previously claimed that she was “not invited” on the filmed vacation after a fan questioned her whereabouts on social media.
Fans weren’t all that surprised, however, as Anna has appeared to be stepping back from family gatherings, as teased on the upcoming season of 7 Little Johnstons.
MOVING OUT
In January 2024, The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed that Anna had purchased a stunning $185K Georgia home, unbeknownst to fans who were unaware that she was looking to move.
Recent episodes of the show at the time showed Emma re-decorating an upstairs bathroom, but there was no mention that Anna had gotten her own place.
For some time, Liz moved back into her parents’ home when she was pregnant with her and Brice’s daughter, Leighton Drew.
The family of three has since moved out on their own as well, as The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed that they’d purchased a $255K abode in Georgia this past summer.
The only children now living under Trent and Amber’s roof are Jonah, Emma, and Alex.
7 Little Johnstons returns on Tuesday on TLC at 10:00 p.m. EST.
