Season 3 of “Tracker” has been on a midseason break since Dec. 14, but when does the action drama return?

There won’t be a new episode of “Tracker” on Sunday, Dec. 28. Season 3 of the CBS series returns on Sunday, March 1. It will also move to a new time in 2026, airing at 9 p.m. ET instead of 8 p.m. ET.

“Tracker” stars Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw, a professional “rewardist” who helps law enforcement and private citizens solve cases in exchange for reward money.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for season 3 of “Tracker.”

The midseason finale of “Tracker” ended on a cliffhanger. The last time viewers saw Colter, he was veering off the road as an unknown attacker shot at his car. The vehicle went over a ledge, flipped over and landed upside down.

Colter wasn’t alone in the car. He was driving John Keaton (Brent Sexton) to the emergency room after a contract killer named Emil Lang (Mark Engelhardt) shot him.

Colter knows that Lang is looking for someone Cassie Lindstrom, who stares a last name with a cop that Lang allegedly killed. The episode ended without any answers about Lindstrom and without confirmation that Keaton will survive the car wreck.

“It’s pretty bad,” executive producer Elwood Reid told Us Weekly of the accident. “The situation we pick directly up in [episode] 10 is pretty dire. Part of the puzzle is [whether] Keaton [is] dead or is he alive? How does Colter save himself or try to resuscitate Keaton?”

Viewers will also be introduced to a new character when “Tracker” resumes in March.

“You’re going to see [them] for the first time in episode 11,” Reid told Us Weekly. “That character is going to come in under the guise of bringing Reenie (Fiona Rene) work, but we’re going to realize that this thing becomes something bigger. So it’ll be a fun character.”
