When Does ‘Tracker’ Return in 2026? Here’s Everything We Know

The Justin Hartley-led drama is also set to introduce a new character when it returns from its extended hiatus.

Tacker - When Does It Return in 2026?

Key Points

  • Tracker Season 3 resumes March 1, 2026, with a new 9 pm ET timeslot.
  • Episode 10 will resolve Colter and Keaton’s cliffhanger, with Colter “in really bad shape.”
  • A new character debuts in episode 11, and several guest stars may return.

Tracker delivered some of its strongest episodes throughout season 3, earning a well-deserved break after airing nine action-packed episodes featuring plenty of notable guest-stars.

Before its lengthy 11-week hiatus, which gave fans plenty of time to embrace the holiday season, the Justin Hartley–led series ended on a major cliffhanger. The midseason finale, which aired Dec. 14, 2025, left Colter Shaw’s life hanging in the balance.

Now, with the holidays in the rearview mirror, fans are wondering when new episodes are expected to resume in 2026, with 13 episodes left to air from the season’s full 22-episode pick-up.

The bad news is that it’s going to be some time before we get any answers about the dangerous case Shaw has found himself in, along with his good friend and retired cop, Keaton, played by Brett Sexton.

Fans are eager to see how the storyline will unfold, but they’ll have to wait a bit for the series to return from its extended break.

When Will Tracker Air New Episodes in 2026?

New episodes of Tracker won’t air until March, with CBS also confirming a change in the schedule, as the series will move to a new timeslot.

Take note, Tracker fans—the survivalist drama will return on Sunday, March 1, 2026, and will shift to a 9 pm ET – 10 pm ET timeslot (9/8c), in place of the usual air time at 8 pm ET.

CBS will slide in Yellowstone spinoff, Y Marshals, into Tracker’s old time slot, with Tracker followed by Watson, which is also moving to a new night and time period.

What Can Fans Expect From Tracker Season 3 Episode 10

While there’s no synopsis available for Tracker Season 3 Episode 10 just yet, fans are hoping it will provide a resolution to the storyline involving the ruthless killer-for-hire, Emile Lang (Mark Engelhardt), pursuing Colter and Keaton. The episode will also see the return of Det. Willa Simms, played by Jes Macallan, along with Chicago Med’s Sasha Roiz, who stars as Police Commissioner Ross Bogart, who may or may not be a corrupt and on Lang’s payroll.

Showrunner Elwood Reid previously gave some insight to TVLine, confirming that while Colter survives the ordeal (naturally), Keaton’s fate is a bit murkier, admitting, “I can say that he was initially dead [in the first draft of this episode]. Now, whether that remains, I don’t know….”

But that doesn’t mean Colter is out of the woods just yet, as Reid reveals that he’s shot and is “in really bad shape.”

“He’s the only one who crawls out of that car, and then he’s got bigger problems. Without giving too much away, he becomes a wanted man because he’s been at the scenes of these crimes, and people start wondering if he’s in cahoots with the killer. There’s another plot that helps explain that, but the short answer is yes — he needs help. We’ve got a decent cast of characters, and you can probably guess who he calls,” he continued, alluding to Colter’s trusted squad, Reenie (Fiona Rene) and Randy (Chris Lee).

He also told US Weekly that the accident is “pretty bad,” adding, “The situation we pick directly up in [episode] 10 is pretty dire. Part of the puzzle is [whether] Keaton [is] dead or is he alive? How does Colter save himself or try to resuscitate Keaton?”

Reid also revealed the storyline will begin to connect to the greater mystery involving Colter’s late father and his connection to “government forces allied against his family.”

“It’s not explicit, but there are going to be multiple threads Colter starts pulling that lead him back into his past,” Reid teased of Tracker Season 3 Episode 10.

Tracker Plans to Add a New Character in 2026

Again, not much has been revealed about the new character, though Reid told Us Weekly that they will be first seen in Tracker Season 3 Episode 11.

“That character is going to come in under the guise of bringing Reenie work, but we’re going to realize that this thing becomes something bigger. So it’ll be a fun character.”

As for returning faces, there is nothing “locked” in yet for Jensen Ackles (Russell), Melissa Roxburgh (Dory), or Wendy Crewson (Mary), though Reid would love to have them all return as their schedules allow.

As for Hartley’s former This Is Us co-star Jennifer Morrison, she’s set to come back and “direct soon.”

“It’s funny — I wonder if she’d do a twofer, and act and direct. I should talk to her about that. You’re right — Lizzie could absolutely factor back in as the truth comes out,” Reid agreed.
