‘1000-lb Sisters’ star is unrecognizable in new wedding photos
“1000-lb Sisters” star Tammy Slaton continues to wow fans with her weight loss transformation.
Tammy’s slim frame could be seen in photos taken at her sister Amy Slaton’s wedding to Brian Lovvorn. In the pictures, exclusively obtained by People, Tammy stood by her sister’s side dressed in dark jeans and a black-and-grey striped turtleneck sweater. Her dramatic weight loss — Tammy has lost over 500 pounds in the past several years — and the results of her recent skin removal surgery were on full display in the photos.
Amy, for her part, lost nearly 200 pounds after undergoing bariatric surgery in 2019. She looked dazzling in a sleeveless lace wedding gown during her Halloween nuptials, which took place at Talbott Tavern in Bardstown, Kentucky.
The historic inn is said to be haunted, which was perfect for the Halloween-loving couple. Amy and Lovvorn got engaged at a haunted house last year.
“My wedding is a dream finally coming true,” Amy told People. “I’m getting my happily ever after!”
The bride also praised her new husband for embracing her two sons, Gage, 4, and Glenn, 3, whom he shares with her ex-husband, Michael Halterman.
“Not only did he capture my heart, but he also won over my boys, and not many men out there will accept a single mom with two energetic boys!” Amy said.
When Amy announced her engagement in May, she revealed that Tammy initially had concerns about Lovvorn popping the question after just five months.
“She really felt like we were rushing it,” Amy told People at the time.
Although Tammy supported Amy on her big day, Amy’s maid of honor was her best friend Ollisha Davis. Amy told People that she knew Davis would accept the role “even before I extended the heartfelt invitation.”
Amy served as the maid of honor when Tammy married Caleb Willingham in 2022. Willingham’s death was confirmed in July 2023. Tammy revealed her engagement to Andrea Dalton in June.
Fans were first introduced to Dalton during season 7 of “1000-lb Sisters,” which premiered in April. The TLC series has not yet been renewed for season 8, and some viewers think a cancelation announcement is imminent.
